I love this movie. Even though its not one of my favorite Disney movies, I have nothing but utter respect for this film. I proudly own the 'Diamond Edition' DVD, and I watch each documentary in the extras to learn about the production of this film. Because of this film, animation became a form of art and people respected it as such. 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarves' was premiered in 1937 (weeks after its completion) and people didn't know whether it was going to be a hit or bomb. At the end of the film, people were in TEARS including celebrities like Clark Gable and Shirley Temple. 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarves' made an impact in the film industry and society in general. Surprise review: Epic (Spoiler free)Hey guys so here is my super short review of 'Epic', Blue Sky's latest movie. If the name 'Blue Sky' doesn't ring any bells they are the studio that made Ice Age and Rio. They were seen as an 'okay' studio at best. They never released a godawful movie (except Ice Age 4, but even I've seen much worse than that) but their films were always avarege with some interesting designs and animation.
'Epic' is no exception to this. While its a more ambitious project than their previous movies, it falls flat because of the lack of character development, emotion, and well...its a story we've seen a million times. While I have no problem with films that borrow storylines, but unless they have something new to add when it comes to story or its characters it becomes very forgettable. This movie is like a strange hybrid of 'The Secret World of Arietty' and 'FernGully'.

About 'Rotten Tomatoes'...I had long since stopped giving credit to it. This is not a site who gathers professional critics with a criteria beyond the usual "is it entertaining or not". Of course a critic always has a small portion of bias to come with it, but when one's analysis is composed by 70% of it, it's hard to take what they're saying seriously, much less believe they know what they're talking about.

Why isn't Luke the Favourite?

Luke Skywalker, despite being the main character of the early starwars movies, never seems to get the credit he deserved! Labeled as a "dweeb" or "Whinging Teenager", I think Luke is a character some people love to hate. However, there is a crowd on Deviant Art who are supporting my cause! There are a band of fellow luke lovers who stand firm in the belief that Luke Skywalker is the hero of Starwars! Not only did he totally save the galaxy for the goodies....
He is totally hot!
